Centerview Elementary qualifies to receive Title 1, Part A funds under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Title 1 eligibility is based on the number of students in our school from low-income families. School staff work with input from parents and the community to develop a Schoolwide Plan with the purpose of the plan to improve the entire educational program.
As an important partner in our effort to provide the best education possible for your child, you will be kept informed about your child’s academic progress throughout the school year and the progress the school is making toward helping all children meet high academic standards. Each Title 1 school must jointly develop with parents of children, a Parent-School-Student Compact as a component of its written parent involvement policy. A compact is a written agreement between the school and the parents of children participating in Title 1 that identifies the activities that the parents, the entire school staff, and the student will undertake to share the responsibility for improved student academic achievement.
Additionally, you will also receive invitations to meetings to discuss the Title 1 School-wide Program, Title 1 activities and be asked to assist in the development, revision, and implementation of Centerview’s Schoolwide Program Plan.
We look forward to your involvement. Please call the school if you have any questions or would like additional information or you can visit the district homepage’s related links to learn more about Title 1, Parent Engagement, Homeless Students, Foster Children, FERPA, etc.
